Thurrock Council is preparing a new Local Plan that will set out the amount and location of new development across the Borough in the period up to 2037/2038.
The first Local Plan Issues and Options (Stage 1) was published in February 2016 and focused on thematic policy areas.
We are now consulting on the new Local Plan Issues and Options (Stage 2) document. The purpose of this document was to seek your views about how Thurrock should develop and grow in the future and where, in broad terms, new development should be located to meet identified needs.
