New Call for Sites Portal is READY
Thank you so much for your patience, Forumites! I'm sorry my epic bronchitis delayed this project. We hope everyone is able to map their sites before the start of March but I am around a LOT if you need any help.
The site can be accessed here:
https://cfs.thurrock.urbanintelligence.co.uk/
The first thing you will be asked to do is sign in, so click on the Create Account link below the fields. It's just your email and a password and then you'll need to wait for a confirmation email. I got mine and it just said VERIFYEMAILLINK but it was from noreply@thurrock.urbanintelligence.co.uk so I knew that was our domain. I've asked that the confirmation email look a bit less scammy but if you are keen and create an account before that is improved, that's the email to expect.
Josh has a couple of video explainers and we've discussed making some new ones and I will let you know when those are available. If you are comfortable with the internet you can go ahead and enter your site details. If you're not so comfortable, send me an email at localplan@thurrock.gov.uk and zmcaden@thurrock.gov.uk and we can set up a Teams to walk through it. Or in a week or so we'll have super-short videos for each step.
If we're approaching March and you haven't been able to submit your site, get in touch. We can be flexible but we need to know if we are waiting on submissions.
Thanks for all your patience. I look forward to supporting you in this exercise.

Initial Proposals Document (Regulation 18) LIVE!
We can announce that the Thurrock Local Plan – Initial Proposals Document (Reg 18) is now live on the website.
As you know, we are the agenda for the extraordinary full council meeting on 6th December at 7pm which will be a public meeting and also live streamed.
You can find more information as well as the document here:
https://democracy.thurrock.gov.uk/ieListDocuments.aspx?CId=134&MId=6481&Ver=4
There will be a lot to talk about, so I would remind you that we are having an in person Forum meeting in the morning on the 14th. If you haven’t let us know you are attending, please let us know using this very short form: https://forms.office.com/e/4wHJW6bAyg
I can’t advise whether we will have hybrid ability on the day, so it would be really nice to host you in our offices.
I will make a separate announcement when the Call for Sites portal is ready for use (and I will be available to help you if you need anything).

December Forum IN PERSON Set
The next Forum meeting is at the Council Offices, New Road, Grays, just a couple of minutes' walk from the C2C station. It will take place from 10am - 12 midday on 14th December.
We will be talking through the Reg 18 document*, what still needs to happen before Reg 19, timelines to adoption, resubmitting sites on PlaceMaker, etc plus allowing time to network with each other and talk to members of the Local Plans team face to face.
We are still exploring any opportunity to make this a hybrid event and it would help to know how you prefer to attend. I've made a very simple little form here:
https://forms.office.com/e/4wHJW6bAyg
Again, here are the meeting details:
10am - 12 midday
14th December 2023
We look forward to seeing you soon.
