We’re asking for support from residents and businesses to help us tackle the illegal sale of tobacco and prevent it from reaching underage customers.

Illegal tobacco and vapes aren’t harmless bargains. Cheap or fake products can be unsafe and unregulated, and they can make it easier for young people to get hold of tobacco and nicotine.

This kind of illegal activity affects the whole community. Money from these sales can fund organised crime, and it puts honest local businesses at a disadvantage.

Across the UK, action against illegal tobacco and vape sales has led to products being seized, businesses being shut down, and people being prosecuted — showing how serious this issue is.
