As part of Thurrock Council's commitment to delivering new affordable homes and creating opportunities for local residents, Auburn Group, the contractor delivering 6 new affordable homes at Lyndhurst Road, recently attended the Freshers Fair with South Essex College of Further & Higher Education at Thurrock College.

The Auburn team spent the afternoon engaging with students, sharing insights into the construction industry, and highlighting the wide range of career pathways available. From project management, surveying and commercial roles to administration, health and safety, and skilled trades, the construction sector offers diverse and rewarding career opportunities.

Events like these are invaluable in helping young people understand the exciting possibilities available to them while supporting the development of Thurrock's future workforce.

Auburn Group's attendance forms part of their social value commitment to Thurrock Council, helping to inspire the next generation, promote local employment opportunities, and create lasting benefits for the wider community alongside the delivery of new affordable homes.
