Help Shape Thurrock's NEET Strategy

Thurrock Council's NEET Strategy sets out how we will support young people who are Not in Education, Employment or Training (NEET) over the next three years.

The strategy focuses on five key priorities:

  • Priority 1: Focus on the Most Vulnerable: Provide personalised support to young people facing the greatest challenges.
  • Priority 2: Develop a Community-Based Approach: Bring support closer to young people within local communities.
  • Priority 3: Strengthen Partnerships: Work closely with organisations, services and community groups.
  • Priority 4: Link with Business and Economy: Connect young people with local employers and employment opportunities.
  • Priority 5: Increase Participation in Apprenticeships: Help more young people access apprenticeship opportunities.

We want to ensure the strategy continues to reflect the needs and aspirations of young people, residents, families and local organisations. Your feedback will help us review and improve our approach throughout the life of the strategy.
