Consultation has concluded

We would like to hear from you about activity in the West Thurrock area and whether or not we should extend the Public Space Protection Order (PSPO) currently in place here.

A PSPO sets restrictions on how an area is used. These restrictions apply to everyone and make sure that the law-abiding majority can enjoy public spaces, safe from anti-social behaviour. To find out more about PSPOs visit: thurrock.gov.uk/pspo

The PSPO in West Thurrock is in place to deter spectators and restrict motor vehicles that:

  • congregate in large numbers
  • participate in racing, perform stunts or use vehicles in an anti-social manner
  • cause nuisance, annoyance and noise to road users and pedestrians

This PSPO is due to expire in December 2024 and we are considering extending it for a further 3 years.

In response to residents of Chafford Hundred, South Stifford and West Thurrock wards, we are seeking the views of local residents, visitors to the area, businesses and other key stakeholders.

Have your say on these proposal by completing the survey below.
