build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders ensuring it engages rather than consult
implement and deliver on a comprehensive programme of engagement
enhance the user experience of our SEN Local Offer and increase its number of visits
develop models of good practice across teaching and learning through Thurrock GEMs and Pupil Voice Projects
embed a Quality Assurance Framework, ensuring the golden thread, and the feedback cycle is maintained
The strategy will now become a plan and form part of the overall SEND Strategy for 2023-26.
The proposed plan sets out the approach by which all SEND communication and engagement will be planned and managed by partners across Thurrock. It replaces the Community and Engagement Strategy of 2020 – 2023 and includes the SEND Pupil and Student Engagement Strategy. It’s also in line with the revised Ofsted Inspection Framework and the Government's Green Paper 'SEND review: right support, right place, right time'.
We would like your views on the proposed priority areas, which are:
Work together better
Assessment, aspiration, and achievement
Promoting inclusive outcomes
Pathway to independence
Progress and impact
