Manorway 100 cycle and footbridge over vange creek to Wat Tyler Park and beyond.

Petition to: Manorway 100 cycle and footbridge over vange creek to Wat Tyler Park and beyond.

It is my intention to ask for funding from local companies and Nationa lLottery fund to build a cycle and footbridge over Vange creek around Fobbing sluice gate that will link the town of Stanford-le-Hope to Pitsea and Canvey under the Manorway at 100 project. This will see a shared cycleway connecting the national cycle route 13 to national cycle route 16 at Pitsea using the Manorway and will be a pivotal link for cyclist and walkers a like from Thurrock to Basildon and vise versa. Something that has been talked about for far too long, but no-one has done anything about. With the building of a footbridge over vange creek users will have the option to link up with two routes on the Basildon side to Wat Tyler Park and Canvey via East Creek to Northwick Road. The route will follow the whole of the Manorway from Hardie Park to Coryton roundabout some four miles using the shared cycleway already in place. From there, a dedicated path will run over footpath 191 to Fobbing Horse and out to the sluice gate where a cycle and footbridge will be placed enabling all users to have unfettered access to more routes than are currently available, in a safe and controlled environment over Fobbing and Pitsea marshes. It is also hoped to be disabled user friendly with proper surface preparation that does not include type 1 substrate which is seen at London Gateway today. Onward information posts will be placed at specific crossroads that give the user information and history about the area.
