Thurrock is a dynamic trading economy ideally placed to benefit from growth and prosperity.

However the COVID pandemic has had a significant impact on businesses and on jobs and, as a result, a different approach to support the local economy is now required.

Backing Thurrock is a five year strategy for economic recovery, resilience and a return to growth.

The strategy is in two parts - this first part sets out an introduction and immediate actions, we then go on to set out a vision and approach for the next five years, together with a number of themes to explore to achieve resilience and a return to growth.

We would like your help in developing the strategy. You can view the document by clicking the link to the right and we have asked three multiple choice and four open questions for you to respond to.

The second part of the strategy will be an implementation plan to be published in 2021.
