The "Active Travel Scheme Branksome Avenue" consultation should have been included on Have My Say. In 2021 the "Active Travel Measures (Walking and cycling improvements) - The Homesteads Ward" consultation was included on Have My Say. This also proposed travel calming on Branksome Avenue and closed on 30 September 2021. (This can be searched on Have My Say).
Branksome Avenue is the main road allowing travel through the Homesteads Ward. Therefore, all Constituents of the Homesteads Ward have a democratic right to be included in this consultation!
A "Proposed Road Safety Improvements - Active Travel Scheme Branksome Avenue" letter (dated 15th December) was posted to residents of some roads in the Homesteads by Transport Delivery. This letter enclosed "a drawing showing the proposed scheme". In Order that a Democratic Consultation can be seen to have taken place (as in 2021), this petition is requesting the following: 1) An extension to the Consultation date for the "Proposed Road Safety Improvements - Active Travel Scheme Branksome Avenue" - to enable 2) A new " Proposed Road Safety Improvements - Active Travel Scheme Branksome Avenue" letter (including drawings) to be added on Have My Say by Transport Delivery. 3) The new extended deadline date for this consultation be set for at least a month from date of being posted. 4) The new "Proposed Road Safety Improvements - Active Travel Scheme Branksome Avenue" letter (including drawings) to be posted to all residents of the Homesteads! 5) The new "Proposed Road Safety Improvements - Active Travel Scheme Branksome Avenue" letter (including drawings) to be advertised on Thurrock News.
