Zebra crossing - Abbots Hall Primary Academy, Stanford Le Hope, SS17 7BW
For children who attend Abbots Hall Primary Academy their safety is very high on our agenda when making their way to and from school. The issues that we will raise are: 1) cars are parked on the zig-zag lines, which was added by Thurrock Council. 2) There is no zebra crossing or lolly pop lady to ensure cars are stopping for children to cross the road. As we all agree, education also starts from walking safely across our roads. As a council, more safety measures should now be taken before an injury or, even worse, a fatality happens. We have gathered signatures from parents and teachers who believe this is an issue that needs to be resolved as safety to school is a given for any child in the 21st century. Thank you for your time dealing with this. This letter has been sent to the local MP as well.
