Local authorities are required to undertake a Review of Polling Districts and Polling Places. The next review must take place between 1 October 2023 and be complete by 31 January 2025. This review is timetabled to complete by mid February 2024. The public consultation will close 12 November 2023.

To assist with the review we are looking for feedback on any aspect of the polling districts and places currently used and we invite representation and comments from interested persons. We have identified some options for change and invite you to comment on the suitability of the proposed change and how it may affect you.

Local political parties, MPs and councillors will be consulted and views are invited from electors within the Parliamentary constituencies of

a) Thurrock

b) South Basildon and East Thurrock

We welcome feedback from persons, groups or communities who may have particular expertise in relation to access to premises or facilities for persons with any disability. We also welcome comments by email electoral.services@thurrock.gov.uk

Thank you for your feedback, we have added a downloadable version of the map which is bigger and clearer. Direct link here: https://consult.thurrock.gov.uk/26720/widgets/79561/documents/48385

Alternatively further details can be viewed at the Civic Offices, New Road, Grays.

We cannot show which part of Gable Hall will be used at this time, as the venue will be booked at the time of election. We will however be requesting an accessible hall at the front of the school.

There is no flat fee. The locations are hired by the Returning Officer when an election is called.  Each venue sets their own hire fees.
