We’re redeveloping 158-228 Teviot Avenue (evens only) in Aveley, South Ockendon.
By redeveloping this council-owned developed land which hasn’t been used to its full potential, we can give our residents the high quality affordable council homes they deserve. The new council homes will meet the requirements of modern living.

April 2026
Progress continues on the redevelopment at Teviot Avenue, with demolition now complete and foundations laid for the first eight new plots.
Bricklaying began in late February, marking an exciting step forward as the new homes start to take shape. Alongside construction activity, contractor Marfleet & Bradshaw has been getting involved with the local community, attending the Apprenticeship and Jobs Fair in Grays and working with Kenningtons Primary School to provide materials for improvements to their playground project: O@K (Outdoors at Kenningtons). They recently paid a visit to the primary school where pupils built dens made out of tyres, while trying on hard hats and hi-vis vests donated by Marfleet & Bradshaw.
