Thurrock Safeguarding Adults Board (TSAB ) is a multi-agency partnership that works with organisations to protect adults from abuse and neglect. The Care Act 2014 requires every Local Authority to set up a Safeguarding Adults Board.

The TSAB aims to make sure services work together effectively to protect and support adults at risk, following the Care Act 2014 and other legal guidance. To do this, TSAB works with partners and local communities to ensure safeguarding services are effective, continually improving, and meet local needs by:

  • Preventing abuse and neglect from happening
  • Responding quickly when abuse or neglect does happen, and
  • Always putting the adult’s wishes at the centre of the process
  • Raising awareness of safeguarding adults, and the role everyone can play in responding to, and preventing, abuse and neglect.

TSAB are setting the new priorities from April 2026 to 2030. The Board are seeking the views of Thurrock residents about these proposals to help shape the focus of the work that they do over the next 4 years.
