Help us shape Thurrock’s response to violence against women and girls (VAWG).

VAWG refers to harmful behaviours such as domestic abuse, sexual harassment, stalking, female genital mutilation (FGM), honour-based violence, and child marriage. By understanding the experiences and perceptions of Thurrock residents, we can improve safety, raise awareness, and strengthen support across Thurrock.

We recognise that people of all genders can experience harm, and these forms of abuse disproportionately affect women and girls. This survey welcomes feedback from everyone, including men, trans, and non-binary individuals. Your responses are confidential and anonymous and would be invaluable (if you are signed in to the site, you will need to 'sign out' to remain anonymous). Thank you for choosing to contribute to this survey!

If you are affected by any of these issues and require urgent help, please contact:

  • 999 or 101 for police

  • COMPASS Essex Domestic Abuse 0330 3337 444
  • National Domestic Abuse 0808 2000 247
