Consultation has concluded

People who live in Aveley tend to travel towards the Lakeside basin, Purfleet-on-Thames and South Ockendon, often to commute to work. The major roads M25 and A13 feature heavily in the local area but create barriers for local people to enjoy active travel, like cycling or walking.

We are proposing to improve connections across those barriers with:

  • Improvements to the two bridges across the M25.
  • Improvements to the two bridges across the A13.
  • A new bridge across the A13.
  • Safer crossings across the village.
  • A review of footways and traffic in the village centre.
