Consultation has concluded
People who live in Grays tend to travel towards the town centre and farther ahead towards Tilbury to the East, and Lakeside to the West. There are also 10 schools in the area, including two school clusters, that will benefit from safer environments for active travel to school. The Little Thurrock Marshes works as a natural barrier between Grays town centre and Tilbury.
We are proposing to:
- Improve the link along Lodge Lane to allow further east-west movements across the borough.
- Improve crossings along the east-west link on Lodge Lane.
- Improve connections between Lodge Lane and Grays town centre.
- Improve connections towards Chadwell St Mary.
- Improve safety around the school cluster with traffic management on Bradleigh Avenue.
- Create a new link with Tilbury between New Road and Thurrock Parkway.
- Accessibility improvements in Grays town centre, Socketts Heath and Southend Road.
