Consultation has concluded
People who live in South Ockendon tend to travel mainly towards the Lakeside basin but also towards Aveley and Tilbury. With 8 schools in the area there is a great need to enable safe active travel to school within the area. The major roads M25 and A13 feature heavily in the local area but create barriers for local people to enjoy active travel, like cycling or walking beyond.
We are proposing to:
- Improve three north-south links (Foyle Drive, Daiglen Drive and the path along the B186).
- Improve crossing on the B1335 Stifford Road.
- Improve connections towards Aveley across the M25.
- Improve connections towards North Stifford and Lakeside.
- Accessibility improvements around Derwent Parade.
