Consultation has concluded

People who live in Stanford-le-Hope and Corringham tend to travel towards the Lakeside basin, Tilbury and to some extent to East Tilbury and Basildon, often to commute to work. There is a high number of trips made within the areas. There are also 10 schools that will benefit from safer environments for active travel to school.

We are proposing to:

  • Link the train station with the wider network towards Stanford Road to the east.
  • Link the train station with the wider network towards the Manorway shared path to the north.
  • Improve safety on the main west-east link (Southend Road).
  • A new link with the A1014 Manorway cycle path.
  • Accessibility improvements in Stanford-le-Hope town centre.
  • Accessibility improvements in Corringham town centres.
  • Accessibility improvements in Lampits Hill row of shops.
