Consultation has concluded

People who live in Purfleet-on-Thames tend to travel towards the Lakeside basin and Aveley, often to commute to work. The major roads M25 and A13 feature heavily in the local area but create barriers for local people to enjoy active travel, like cycling or walking.

We are proposing to improve connections across those barriers with:

  • Improvements to the two bridges across the A13.
  • A new bridge across the A13.
  • Remove accessibility barriers on cycle paths.
  • Create a safer environment on London Road.
